This is the cat who inspired Sleepy Cat!

Her name is Kitty and she lives with my mom. While still living at home, a tremendous rain storm was hitting our region, and I was inspired to write. Despite all the noise, this cat would not be disturbed and slept comfortably on the bean bag chair the whole time.

Upon reading that poem, Garvin heard a melody to match a tune we were working on…
And it became Sleepy Cat!

The Potlucks Live at Wilbert's 03-13-10

The Potlucks performed at Wilbert's Bar in Cleveland, Ohio on March 13…
It was a fun show, and despite a couple sound issues, the response was great!
We showcased our best material so far and even performed a new song we hope to have as a possible new mp3 release soon.

We met many cool people and had the chance to hear 2 awesome bands as well.
THANKS to everyone who made it out that night to see us, and we hope to see even more of you at our future shows.

We're pushing for more bookings, so there will be plenty of opportunities to see The Potlucks this Summer!

Yes, friends, all 8 or so people filled the stands to witness the wonder of the Potlucks… And boy, did they wonder!

We have some pics yet to come and a live video from the show that should be posted real soon!

It was a fun experience, and the folks there were awesome and supportive! But we know that the future shows will be even MORE fun when we have all of you there to support and rock out with us!

Looks like we may be a part of a couple festivals this year as well as the usual music circuit haunts.
